Wagyu and Ranch Direct Beef for Spring

Wagyu calves on pasture at DL Texas Ranch in Montgomery, Texas, north of Spring

Ranch direct beef for Spring

We raise Fullblood Wagyu and Beefmaster cattle at DL Texas Ranch in Montgomery, Texas, north of Spring in Montgomery County. Every animal we sell is finished here, hand fed by us. Nothing in our program goes to a feedlot, and we do not buy finished beef and put our name on it.

Pickup or shipping, whichever fits

Spring sits in the range where either works. If you are already going north, order online and choose Pickup at checkout. It is free, ready in about 24 hours, and available throughout the week. If you would rather it arrive at the door, we ship vacuum sealed and frozen in an insulated box with dry ice. Details on Visit the Ranch.

Buying beef for a household, not an occasion

The thing that separates a ranch from a specialty butcher is that we can cover the whole week, not just the celebration. Beefmaster is our everyday herd, leaner with a fuller and more classic beef flavor, and it costs less than the Wagyu. Ground beef and patties, roasts and everyday steaks come from it.

Then Wagyu for the nights that deserve it. Wagyu for the occasion, Beefmaster for the week, both from the same ranch and the same standard of care.

How we grade, and why we publish a number

Every carcass is graded by MIJ camera, which measures the intramuscular fat in the ribeye rather than estimating it by eye. Carcasses measuring 40% or higher digital marbling percentage become Wagyu Reserve. Most sellers say "highly marbled". We would rather show you the measurement.
